Dear Mr. Woods:

I would like to express my thanks and gratitude for all of the riders who helped send my Dad, SGT Bobby L. Nation to his final resting place like a true American hero. It is so gratifying to know that his sacrifice is acknowledged and honored by those who have served and those who are still serving. The riders that showed up to pay their respects were very gracious to me and my family. My Mom was so moved at the outpouring of condolences and support from the fine members of this organization.

About 10 minutes prior to the end of the visitation we entered the room and did the final salute to my Dad and I was given the Honor of presenting the "final" salute. I was not sure if I could do this one or not but I felt as if my Dad was standing there in front of me to return the salute.

I would also like to thank the members for presenting a plaque to my Mom in honor of my Dad's service. My mom couldn't say enough about how Dad would have really appreciated those who showed up on the day of the funeral service to escort him to his final resting place. She said, "he would have been honored". It is never easy losing someone you love but with an organization such as the Patriot Guard it is very comforting to know someone does care.

My Dad always spoke of the coming home from Vietnam and the "Unwelcoming" he received. I believe in my heart he received his "Welcome Home" by the Patriot Guard.

I will always be a supporter of the Patriot Guard and for everything they do to honor our "Fallen Heroes & Veterans". I would also like to thank you for your service to this country both as soldiers and as a patriots.
