Dist. 8 Captain Chris Thacker:

I want to say thank you again for your part in the memorial for James Bryce Boring. (You will notice those folks from Vinton County very often refer to family members with both names. Down in Gallia County where I came from, we would have called him "Jim"). The entire thing left Fran and me with a mighty warm feeling. The whole affair shows the goodness in people, especially your group of riders. We are all overwhelmed. It is more than we could have imagined.

Fran is the oldest living relative of James Bryce (his niece) and therefore she got the flag and the empty cartridges from the rifle squad.

Thanks and again and the best to you and your family,

Bill and Fran Casto

Dist. 8 Ride Captain Randy Davies:

Thank you so much for your part in the escort of the remains of James Bryce Boring on Friday and Saturday, Aug 5 and 6 from Columbus Airport to Albany, Ohio.  James Bryce was a humble person and he would have been amazed with all of the attention.  You and your group added something to the event that leaves everyone with a good feeling that lingers around as long as we are alive.

My wife, Fran G. Casto is the oldest living relative of James Bryce Boring. She is his niece.

Best wishes,

Bill and Fran Casto

Dist. 5 Captain Ray Schwabe:

Thank you so much for the part you had in the escort for the remains of James Bryce Boring on Aug 5, 2016.

What an amazing thing!  The events at the Columbus Air Port were heartwarming and added more significance to the event than we ever imagined.  I noticed, your presence got the attention of everyone along the route out of the airport and down to Albany, Ohio.  We were amazed at the entire affair and filled with pride and thanks giving.

My wife, Fran G. Casto, is the oldest living relative of James Bryce.  She is his niece.

Best regards,

Bill and Fran Casto
