From the Elder Eleven Committee
The Elder Eleven Committee asked
me to pass on their sincere
thanks for all that was done
yesterday by the OPGR to make it
one of the highlights of the
year. The honor and respect shown
was being talked about at the
football game that night as well
as at the reunion for the class
that included Principal Tom
Otten. The guys came, set up
enough flags to make the place
look like Washington D. C. Stood
with honor and respect and then
packed up and left without asking
for a thing were just some of the
comments I have heard.
Please pass along to Steve and
all the others that I did not
have their email address handy.
September 2014 Sgt Lynn Crowell's
I want to thank you for the
heroic effort to get the escort
together and provide the Patriot
Guard for Lynn Crowells
burial. Lew has already sent
photos to me, and I salute you
and the guard for what you did.

While on the road
the other day I was passed by a
Patriot Guard on a bike. This
both made me feel proud and good
but also saddened. I had never
seen a group on the road before.
At the next red light I jumped
out of the car and proceeded
to shake hands and thank them. My
wife didn't know what to think. I
never did anything like that
before and I surprised myself.
I hope this
doesn't sound like bragging. All
I am trying to say is thank you.
I don't ride and for 40+ years I
carried guilt and shame but have
recently started to turn the
corner on my feelings. I am so
glad that there are groups of
strong people who have carried
the standard so others won't
forget. Once again, thank you.

Please accept my
sincere gratitude for the support
your riders provided to the
funeral of my father, David L
McCabe, Korean War Veteran.
Bob Woods is a true
gentleman and a great
representative of what I believe
to be a wonderful tradition of
honor and remembrance.
My entire family was honored to
have the Patriot Guard Riders add
dignity and color to the honors
provided our father. Please
keep up the great work.

Dear Mr. Hamilton, Mr. Rayburn
and the Patriot Guard Riders
Thank you so much for your
presence at my uncle's funeral
-Sgt. Albert Robert Petrocy
11/10/14. You came on such
short notice and yet you
dedicated your entire day to him.
Your compassion and respect for a
soldier you didn't even know was
deeply moving. You brought
patriotism and dignity to his
funeral. The prayer and salute at
the casket, the motorcade and
your presence with him until he
was entombed touched our hearts.
I know he was comforted by all
that you did. My parents and I
can never thank you enough.
Please know how much you are
admired and appreciated. Thank
you for the honor you give to so
May God bless you for your
sincerity and genuine kindness.
