I am not sure who to send this to but just wanted to thank all the members of the Patriot Guard for helping my family though a very difficult time the death of my nephew Marine Corporal Steven Kohus. Your presence and dedication being there at each and every one of the ceremonies, viewings and burial was more than appreciated. Please pass our sincere appreciation to each of your members who paid honor to my nephew by their participation this week.  I am sure that each and every family that you have honored in this way have deep feelings of love for you and your organization.  I am an Army veteran from the Vietnam era probably like many of you and the contrast between how our fallen troops were treated back then and how they are now is one of the few positives that I see in our country today.  Please keep up the great work and I will pray for all of you.

Thank your again

John Bough

Bob,

Alice and I can’t thank you and the others from the PGR for standing up for our daughters friend. We wish we could have been there, but you know how that goes. As a side comment, I don’t know if you heard this or not, but his daughter asked her mother who were the people out there with the flags? Mom replied “They are here to honor your daddy”. The girl replied “Was he special?” Mom said yes and the girl started crying, and said that her daddy was “Special”. I know that sometimes we don’t hear the family interaction about the Honors Mission, so I thought you might like to know. Please pass this and our thanks to the other members of the PGR that were there.

Sincerely,

Skip & Alice Haberkamp
