Jim,

Mom and I would like to thank you and the Patriot Guard for your vigilance and service at my father's visitation and funeral service.  It was a pleasure and honor to have veterans "standing watch" outside as family and friends came in to pay last respects. Even more so, the "Patriot Guard" motorcycle escort all decked out in streaming flags ahead of the hearse with Marine Corp seals on its doors was befitting "the old Marine".  He would have liked that.

Thank you for your honest and sincere desire to honor vets.  My dad was one of the last of his kind.  Almost all of his buddies from WWII have already passed on.  He joined at 17, so he was the youngest of them.  His 88 years were spent teaching his kids to work hard, be honest, and most of all, be generous and forgiving.  He was always proud of his service in WWII with the US Marines.  It was a fitting end to his life to be escorted out in a "Marine" hearse, preceded by waving flags of the  country he cherished.

Matt

FROM MOM:
To Jim Fish and the Patriot Guard,

I appreciate you and the men who participated in my husband's funeral services.   The booklet and the plaque were so very thoughtful and nice. I don't really have the words to express my gratitude for what you did. It was very impressive.

Thank you so very much,

Lois Warren
