23 July 2010 Jon,

I just wanted to say thanks again to you and the men who showed up for dad and us.  We got a lot of positive feedback from the family about how professional and patriotic your ceremonies and the way the PGR represented themselves.  For most of those who asked, they had no idea who you were, and wondered if dad had taken up riding one of my Harleys.  John and I did our best to explain who the PGR is, and I think we managed to clear up some of the confusion, with maybe one exception to our great aunt.

I'm not sure if you or any of the guys got to see the fly over, but we were told there was one just a few minutes after John and I left the cemetery. We were told it was a group of WW II aircraft that flew over.  I thought I had heard the B 24 from Willow Run just after the Honor Guard did their flag presentation.

If you happen to get the chance, I updated dads web page and put a thank you to you, the PGR and Jack Tate on dads home page.

I understand about not wanting to come to the brunch, and appreciate that, but I would still like to do something in return.  Please let me know if there is anything we can do such as a donation to the PGR, water, flags, or even mission pins for all of you.

Thanks again for every thing.

Semper Fi,

30 July 2010 : Letter sent to Bob Bass a member in District #7

Bob:  Our family would like to personally thank you and the Patriot Guard Riders for honoring my Dad's funeral.  I have never seen a more proud group of individuals honoring our American Heroes.  I want to also tell you that it meant so much to my Dad to know one of his best friends was with him by his side as he passes on to a better place.  Not only was there a special place for you in my Dad's heart, our family greatly appreciated your kindness, compassion and friendship.  As we go through life, we know what friendship is all about and for those who are fortunate enough to have those special relationships feel blessed.  Our family will always be grateful for the special tribute you and the Patriot Guard Riders paid my Dad.  We are honored to know you and have been a part of this celebration for Bill Pitts. Please thank Bob Woods and the other riders for all their honor and dedication to make my Dad's service honorable.   God Bless you!

I attended to services for SGT Robinson in Ohio this past week. I want to let you know personally that the services that the Patriot Guard Riders rendered were beyond all expectations. As a member of the US Military and a veteran of 3 tours of duty in Iraq I want to thank you for what you do. And I am sure that all the families of fallen hero's feel the same way, mere words cannot express enough thanks and gratitude for what you do, there is a special place reserved in heaven for groups of people like yourselves. I will be indebted to your group forever...
